Hi.

There isn't a problem like this that I'm aware of. What version of 
OpenAL Soft is causing the problem, and what version is known to work?

And when you say it plays as mono, do you mean it pans around and goes 
quiet in the distance like other mono sounds, or that both channels just 
mix together?
