You installed a build you made with this command line using "make
install" on a RHL9 system?  Take a look at the glibc RPM.  There is a
lot more to be done.  You've overwritten one of the three glibcs DSOs
available on RHL9.

I have repeat countless times that installing glibc is tricky and that
nobody (except for those creating the destribution) should create
binaries which install in the default places.
