Just FYI Geany using GTK3 Scintilla runs better on Wayland than on
XWayland, but it has to be started with `GDK_BACKEND=wayland geany` since
GTK3 defaults to X11.  That is the standard advice we give to Wayland users
who have problems, seems to work.

GTK3 Geany of course runs fine on xorg X11.

For Cinnamon, its wayland is in development, it is EXPERIMENTAL, so only
use it if you want to help debug it.  I would only use the Wayland Cinnamon
when Linux Mint (who develop Cinnamon) use it on Wayland by default and the
release last month is X11 by default.
