Passwords in SIP proxy stored but not effectuated

Hey guys,

First of all a happy new year to you all!

For a couple of months we've been succesfully running the Vocal SIP
proxy on one of our systems. We are using the psClient.jar application
to manage the users for this proxy. In this test environment we've been
using users without any passwords set. Recently we've tried to add new
users, but now with a password. But while trying these new users we
found out that they can connect to the proxy _without_ specifying any
password...
As far as the psClient application is concerned these password values
are stored, because when we close and reopen the application the
password values for are shown again. It seems that these are stored but
they are not effectuated...
While digging deeper into the system I found the following messages in

The problem seems to be in  "Alias 5768687 not found while updating
5768687"...
Any idea what could be the problem?
