Re: Fault tolerance

Thanks to both of you. Our primary concern is identifying when a network 
interruption might have caused a remote UAS to close the port, and 
therefore require the UA to re-initiate communications. Both our 
Vocal-based UA and the UAS with which it communicates (Versatel IQ) 
implemented VAD, so it is not as simple as monitoring RTP packets (as 
VAD may result in prolonged periods of silence). To my knowledge, the 
UAS does not emit a heartbeat. Thanks again for any further suggestions!
