There are also some networking hardware (application switches) that can
balance SIP sessions between different SIP servers.

Hi James,

If you are thinking of failovers and load balancing,
this has to be implemented using DNS SRV records and
has to be implemented on client as well as server. I'm
not so sure about the last part.
