Hi Gu,
I have been trying to follow the Vocal Code for sometime. The best way to do it is to identify the Process u want to follow and run a Debugger on that process....and see all the elements of the Code it HITS..step by step...
I have not yet tried that extensively....as I have not been able to spend much time on it..
Here is the call flow from a SIP endpoint..
Endpoint--> Marshall Server---> redirect Server.....
so to understand Authentication we mite want to look at the Marshall Server Process..and debug that code...
Let me know if u acheive something...with that..
Good Luck,
Jay

Hi,guys:
I've planned for a long time to study vocal, now it's time to analyze
its source code.
I've read RFC3261 and is familiar with SIP protocol, have much
experience on vocal's installation/provision/functions and various SIP
calls with it. I also configured some softphones and cisco7940 SIP phone
and cisco2600 voice gateway. They're running together very well. Still,
I have much knowledge on Linux system, OO/C++/network programming, VoIP,
etc.
So I think it's time to start source code analysis and my focus is on
system architecture and SIP implementation elements.
To my surprise, it has about 2,000,000 lines code. It's really a bit
cake for me. :-( I don't know where and how to start.
Could you give me some kind help or advice? Is it possible for me to
find some analysis reports on it?
Any help or advice is MUCH appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
