Please test new unified STL build in Git master

 Hello,

 There were a lot of changes related to unifying the default and STL builds
in Git master. They should mostly be quite transparent for the library
users but, as usual, there may also be some changes required. I've written

explaining what may need to be done, but I'd really like to hear about your
actual experience with trying to use the current master from the existing
applications.

 As I wrote in the post above, it would be great to fix any problems that
may be fixed before 3.4.0, but it would be actually even greater to fix
them before 3.3.0 is released, so please test it now, before this is done,
if you can.
