 Yes, I know, but IME such packagers tend not to work very well with the
GUI programs, so I was curious if the situation was different for Ruby.

 I'm mostly thinking about Windows (and maybe Mac) users, who are not going
to install Ruby. I sometimes write simple quick GUI apps and I always end
up doing it in C++, even if it could be faster to write them in something
else, just because I can actually send a ZIP file containing the program
with the dependent DLLs to anybody and they will be able to run it.
