C++20 and wxwidgets 3.0.5 error

I am trying to build a project using meson.
However, I am getting the error
in C++20 this comparison calls the current function recursively with
reversed arguments [-Werror]
4062 | { return i == *this; }
This is not a project I started so I am not sure the exact purpose of using
wxwidgets here, but I have been unable to find a solution for this problem.
Any advice?
