Thanks Vadim, I understand. My description is too vague to really be much 
use.

Turns out it's pretty easy to produce something similar though in the AUI 
sample.

All I've done is create another wxScrolled<wxPanel> in the wxAuiNotebook, 
and make a child panel at coordinates 20,-100.

Screen shot is attached.

I'll test on Windows first before submitting a bug report.
