problem with the scrollbar inside the notebook

Hi,
I am using wxHaskell bindings of the wxWidgets library. With the latest 
version, I am facing the problem with missing scrollbar inside the 
notebook. The same sample from a few years back was working fine. I 
belive the wxWidget version was 2.9.3 at the time. Now, it's build 
against version 3.2.

The issue (together with a short sample in haskell language) is filed 
under the wxHaskell project:

I was wandering is someone from this list is able to recreate the same 
sample as a plain C/C++ program or using other language bindings (like 
python) and help me determine:

- Is this a wxWidget or wxHaskell binding problem?
- Was there any change in wxWidgets over time that requires a different 
approach (like any new attributes regarding the scrollbar)?
- Or any other ideas how to workaround the problem and have the 
scrollbar present again?
