CodeProject, wxWindows, and wx.Net

For a long time I've been thinking that wxWindows needs a higher profile on the CodeProject web site.  CP has now passed half a million MEMBERS, most of whom are/were C++ Windows programmers, and most of whom will eventually migrate to C# or C++ on dotNet.

So, finally, I'm going to do something about it.  I'll describe wxWindows as the universal GUI that runs anywhere, but I think most of them will not be interested in Linux.  Instead, I hope to get their attention with the idea of portability to embedded platforms and to dotNet.

Currently, there is no MFC.net and there is no Windows Forms for Win32, and both are proprietary anyway (an issue that this target audience probably won't care too much about).  So wx.Net provides them with the unique opportunity to write a C++ GUI application that can be compiled to native platforms or to dotNet, with minimal modification.

I would like to include a demo application with versions for both Win32 and for MS dotNet.  For non-GUI stuff it will use the STL and ?.  I have some ideas about the demo app that I'll get into later.  I hope to really get going on this in a few weeks when I'm less busy at work.

Does this all make sense?
