When testing, I observed inconsistent behaviour; sometimes it would
work, other times, it wouldn't.
With my test runs, I placed:
Update();
Refresh();
App.SafeYield(this, true); // (This is available in CVS or the Latest
// Sources tarball)
in DrawFrame after a change color or show/hide call. I found that
changing colors would work correctly, but hiding the frame would not
always work.
Furthermore, during the instances where the DrawFrame won't hide
correctly, external events (i.e. events in other windows) would trigger
it to respond, and hide.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the mixture wxGTK and mono
both using GThreads - but its hard to tell. Have you tried this with
Mono in Windows?
It would help to know a bit more about your environment:
- What versions of Mono, wxGTK, and glib are you using?
- What Linux distribution, and desktop environment, plus versions.

This is a very cool application - I'd like find out why its not
working, since I plan on doing this sort of thing in the future.
Cheers.
