AFAIK there are many known bugs with MDI in wxWidgets 2.5.2. See
http://tinyurl.com/39nk8 for another EVT_UPDATE_UI bug report. I personally
found that the MDI wx.NET sample has issues on Linux right now. While it is
possible your bug is wx.NET -related, my guess is it has more to do with
wxWidgets 2.5.2.
