Did you add a border to the static text ??
Border 5 and Border.wxALL for example (and maybe Alignment)

Hmm, don't know why this happens...

If you look at your windows screenshot the textboxes aren't centered
there also. Try to align your static text (Layout->Alignment).

Did you specify a size in mainFrame->Common->Size ??? 
sizer_x->Fit parent is also a hint...
