No need for wx.NET for this. This would be a simple class to create.

Or do you want an actual event fired when the timer reaches a certain time
or frequency? That is more complicated. I do not think wxWidgets provides
this and there are platform (such as WIN32 API) and perhaps even .NET
runtime (Mono-specific???) ways to do this.
