Also note that I have had difficulties with using Mono + wx.NET + wxGTK Debug builds - basically, I was not able to start applications. Newer versions of Mono may not have the problem (it has been a while since I've tried it with these settings again); but just so that you are aware. When a debug build of wxGTK is absolutely necessary, I've generally been using Portable.NET which worked fine under these conditions.
