well, this is what I have for version 2. please spit on it:

The author of this work dedicates all original material to the public
domain wherever legally possible.
If such dedication is not recognized or valid under applicable law,
the author instead grants everyone, everywhere, a free, perpetual,
non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use, copy, modify, distribute,
or otherwise do anything with the material for any purpose, without
restriction.

In jurisdictions where attribution or other moral rights cannot be
fully waived, the author does not require their name to be displayed
beyond the minimal extent required by law, consents to any use without
personal attribution wherever legally permitted, and waives any claim
or legal action based solely on the absence of attribution, to the
fullest extent allowed by applicable law.

Use at your own risk. The author has no liability for any consequence
of using, misusing, or modifying this work.
