With overwhelming response to the new SWORD 1.5.4 release, CrossWire has received a huge amount of feedback valuable for us in quickly releasing this 1.5.4a maintenance release. We hope we have remedied all problems that people have had in upgrading to this new version of the software. The download may be found on CrossWire's website at: http://www.crosswire.org/sword/software/biblecs/ With this service release, we are also including new locale translations that have been submitted to us, including: Name=af Description=Afrikaans Name=de Description=Deutsch Name=en_GB Description=English (UK) Name=hu Description=Magyar Name=id Description=Indonesian Name=sl Description=Slovenian If you might be able to provide an additional translation of menu options and buttons, please write us at: [email protected] and we'll let you know how to go about doing your own translation. Also, with the recent release, we now have an exciting new batch of modules rapidly appearing on our site. Some of the recent updates and additions follow: O LITV (Green's Literal Translation) O MKJV (Green's Modern King James Version) [Jay P. Green, Jr., Vice President at Sovereign Grace Publishers, Inc. has granted CrossWire permission to freely distribute the LITV and the MKJV translations for non-commercial use. Green, Jr. and thank him for his support: [email protected] ] The following modules have been updated. o MHC (Matthew Henry's Commentary (Complete)) o RWP (Robertson's Word Pictures of the NT) o JFB (Jamieson, Fausset, & Brown's Commentary) o BHS (Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia) With the recent addition of General Book Support to the SWORD engine, we have ready our first publicly available General Book: O Josephus (Josephus: The Complete Works) Look for many more in the very near future. Tools are available to import books into this new format. All of our module making tools are available from our servers at: ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/utils/win32 If you might have the time and talents to generate new books, please email us and let us know your interests and we'll help you coordinate with others that are working on similar tasks. Have you ever wanted to learn to read the Bible in another language? Our new Glossary modules may be able to help you along. Please keep your eyes on this new section of our website for modules that will allow you to hover over any word and will attempt to show popup glossary definition. Many glossary modules are only a few weeks away, including French, Spanish, German, Irish, Latin, and many more.
