PocketSword on new iPad

Good morning. I need assistance with PocketSword please – I am aware that the developer (Nic Carter) is no longer involved. I got a new (for me) iPad, but when I transferred PocketSword from my old iPad to the new iPad, PocketSword was transferred, but when I tried opening is, I received a message that the app in no longer in the App Store and the app was deleted from the new iPad. Is there a way to: 1. Install PocketSword from somewhere else? 2) Is there a way to transfer PocketSword from my old to the now iPad. I know I can restore via iTunes my backup to the new iPad, but I am concerned that work that I have already done on my new iPad will be overwritten. 1. Any other suggestions?
