Hi List, I've been working on a couple of scripts for analysing logfiles from Puppet, designed around RHEL 4 and 5. The puppet script is written in Python, since i'm alot more comfortable with that than Perl, but the date filtering script is modified from one of the Perl ones. I've put together two versions, one is for Logwatch 7.3 which is included in RHEL 5, and the second is for Logwatch 5.2.2 which is included in RHEL 4. I'm including both versions for review and to see if i can get them in Logwatch upstream in the future. I'm currently debating how i can get these scripts into the EL 4/5 space at large. For the time being, i think i will submit the scripts as a seperate package to Fedora, and subsequently for EL 5 and 4. In the future, if they are included upstream, we can have the primary logwatch package obsolete this seperate package. In the meantime we have a way of including it with stable and legacy releases. Anyways, both versions are attached. Please let me know if they are of any use to upstream. -Yaakov Nemoy _______________________________________________ Logwatch-Devel mailing list [email protected] http://www2.list.logwatch.org:81/mailman/listinfo/logwatch-devel
