Dear all,

I was looking for logwatch scripts for mysql and strongswan and found
only very few. And thought I could adapt them myself. Alas, I can't...

I found this
https://github.com/bbelyeu/logwatch/ (for mysql) and this
https://github.com/jbeker/logwatch-strongswan (for strongswan).

I know this at the moment:

I need a service definition in conf/services/foobar.conf that sets a
logfile group name:
LogFile =3D whatever

Then I need a definition in conf/logfiles/whatever.conf (or
foobar.conf?) that specifies which files this group exactly is made up of=
:

LogFile =3D /var/log/some.log

And then I need a script that does the actual magic, which needs to be
in scripts/services/foobar (as my service definition is called
foobar.conf, right?).

So first try would be to use the example filter script in the HOWTO
(HOWTO-Customize-LogWatch) and see, if the right files get collected
and piped into the script.

If this example script works, I could try out the scripts from the two
github repos. Is there a nice command that just tests one script?
Using this seems kind of overkill:
/usr/sbin/logwatch --debug HIGH --range YESTERDAY
