I also have a 3TB NAS drive on the LAN (Time Machine, Videos, Music, Pictures and general storage. My main machines home directory is currently about 84GB and this would not fly well with my MacBook Air with a 128GB ssd. ( several VMs drive up disk usage quickly ). My LAN is not very homogeneous, Macs, Windows, Fedora, several IOS devices, and a WD TV Live Media box. Jerry
