Be very wary of any consumer-level NAS. The ones I've seen have abysmal speeds, under the performance of USB2 or in some cases even slower than an SMB mount of a USB2 drive. Seriously, I've seen them at 3-4MB/s. Something running freeNAS or something with a gigabit card and Jumbo frames support should be very fast.
