Ah, it *always* fails? That I have not seen. I=92ve had occasional =
instances where I=92ve had to force eject from the command line even =
though no files wet open on the volume (at least none listed in lsof).

I think wheel is not current? On my laptop (the only machine I run as an =
admin user usually) my groups are listed as:

staff com.apple.access_screensharing everyone _appstore localaccounts =
_appserverusr admin _appserveradm _lpadmin _lpoperator _developer
