I did briefly but will do it again next time I am at work.

It is not doing it at home even when on Ethernet, which is kind of strange.

I had something similar happen in the past when Mail.app decided to redownl=
oad my entire email collection at MB/s but this time I checked and Mail is =
not the culprit.

Will do.

I turned on the firewall and blocked all external connections but that didn=
't stop it, so it seems like it is originating from the Mac itself.  =
