They're a holdout from NEXTSTEP. Sorry, I'm not agreeing with this point. This may apply for the funky, shiny "new app"-world, but talking about heavy, commercial(?) usage e.g. in finance, POS, medical, ... sector then the user really loves the ability to simply use a keyboard shortcut instead of always repositioning the hand to reach the mouse and back to keyboard. For a new user or not so often used screens it would be really helpful to get a visual sign, what I can use, especially because it is uncommon for "iApps". Btw. all this changes completely when thinking about touchinterfaces on ("real" / hardware) keyboard free devices and I'm not only talking about iPhone or iPad, but e.g. about a POS with professional touchscreen. regards Thorsten Hohage -- objectmanufactur.com - Hamburg,Germany
