I thought on the newer models resetting the T2 chip covered NVRAM as well. Apparently not, so I’ve reset that as well. One time when you really miss the start-up chimes. Apple Diagnostics found nothing, so maybe resetting the NVRAM will sort the problem. Thankfully I keep a wired keyboard for times like these as using the key commands with a BT keyboard doesn’t appear to work. Mac Mini 2018: 3.2 GHz Core i7; 1Tb SSD; 32Gb Ram; MacOS 10.14.6 with Apple Care.
