Re: "Open with" drop down menu

Do the duplicate apps actually exist somewhere? That is, if you choose 2.5.6, then go to the Dock and do a Show in Finder, does it actually show that app hiding somewhere?

If so, just delete it.

If not, try reindexing your Spotlight index.
