Currently the only "recommended" way I know of to do = this is the painful way: backing up & reformatting & restoring. I once wrote an on-disk format modification utility (not for APFS, = unfortunately). It would seem to me a relatively straightforward process = to convert APFS from case-sensitive to insensitive, in place and in real = time, without the need for backups, etc., since only file index metadata = need be modified. =20 However, no such tool currently exists for APFS. Perhaps submit a = feature request for Disk Utility into Apple.
