If you do this by changing material properties, there is no need to do
element removal or deletion - the element is simply so soft that its
deformation is irrelevant. In the postprocessor, you remove them using
display group manager, but they remain in the calculation.

It is not present during Assign Element type. Is there any other way to form element set containing all elements whose temperature are greater than sublimation temperature? So that can be removed using keyword *model change.
