Re: GCL failure to build

Greetings!  Thanks for your report!

Please disregard my earlier advice to install readline.  You seem to
have one, though it appears unusual.

A quick workaround for you instead should be to add --disable-readline
to ./configure

As a more permanent fix, please refresh Version_2_6_13pre from git and
please tell me if the problem persists.
