Greetings!  My apologies, there was a typo in the url of my previous
post.  It should read

http://dl.sv.gnu.org/releases/axiom/axiom_20210105dp1.tar.gz

Please note that dl.sv.gnu.org will redirect randomly to one of many GNU
download mirrors.  They should all be updated by now.

You can follow the build progress in Debian at

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=axiom&suite=sid

I anticipate this up to date version will make it into the forthcoming
Debian stable release.
