Dear Colleagues, I direct your attention to a letter in this month's Communications of the ACM, JACM at the Start of a New Decade, by the current Editor-in- Chief, Professor Victor Vianu, of the University of California, San Diego. You might not be aware of this change yet, but JACM now accepts manuscripts from 23 subareas in Computer Science, listed on the JACM page, http://jacm.acm.org/. The goal is to publish a few among the very best papers in each of these subject areas. It is a challenge to attract papers of such excellence from the more specialized journals for each subject area, and it will take some time for the word about the changes in the JACM to get around. Please consider the JACM as a venue for your strongest work, and spread the word. You can find the editor in charge of a specific subarea of computer science at the JACM web site. JACM brings an author high visibility since it is the flagship journal of the ACM, and it has one of the highest impact factors for a journal in computer science. Thanks. --Alex Pothen JACM Area Editor for High Performance and Scientific Computing _______________________________________________ Csc mailing list [email protected] https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/listinfo/csc
