IPDPS workshops provide an extended forum that allows the IPDPS community an opportunity to fully explore special topics and to present work that is more preliminary and cutting-edge or that has more practical content than the more mature research presented in the main symposium. Proceedings of the workshops are distributed at the conference and are submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library after the conference. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: * Each workshop has its own requirements and schedule for submissions. * Submission deadlines for most are most are in January 2016. * Full details are on websites linked from this page. http://www.ipdps.org/ipdps2016/2016_workshops.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *IPDPS WORKSHOPS MONDAY 23 MAY 2016 **(Check final schedule)* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *HCW: *Heterogeneity in Computing Workshop ** Submission DEADLINE: 06 JAN 2016 *RAW: *Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop ** Submission DEADLINE: 04 JAN 2016 *HIPS: *Workshop on High-Level Parallel Programming Models & Supportive Environments ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2016 *HiCOMB: *Workshop on High Performance Computational Biology **Submission DEADLINE: 04 JAN 2016 *APDCM: *Advances in Parallel and Distributed Computing Models ** Submission DEADLINE: 05 JAN 2016 *ASHES (+ PLC): *Accelerators and Hybrid Exascale Systems ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2016 *NIDIS: *Workshop on Nature Inspired Distributed Computing ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2016 *PCO:* Parallel Computing and Optimization ** Submission DEADLINE: 23 DEC 2015 *GABB:* Graph Algorithms Building Blocks ** Submission DEADLINE: 22 JAN 2016 *EduPar: *NSF/TCPP Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Computing Education ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2015* *HTBDC:* High Throughput Big Data Computing ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2016 *HPDAV: *High Performance Data Analysis and Visualization ** Submission DEADLINE: 10 JAN 2015 *VarSys:* Variability in Parallel and Distributed Systems ** Submission DEADLINE: TBA *IPDPS WORKSHOPS FRIDAY 27 MAY 2016 (Check final schedule)* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *HPPAC: *High-Performance, Power-Aware Computing ** Submission DEADLINE: 22 JAN 2015 *PDSEC****:* Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Scientific and Engineering Computing ** Submission DEADLINE: 08 JAN 2016*DPDNS:*****Dependable Parallel, Distributed and Network-Centric Systems **Submission DEADLINE: 31 DEC 2015*LSPP:* Large-Scale Parallel Processing ** Submission DEADLINE: 21 JAN 2016 *ParLearning: ***Parallel and Distributed Computing for Large Scale Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics ** Submission DEADLINE: 15 JAN 2016*JSSPP****: *Workshop on Job Scheduling Strategies for Parallel Processing ** Submission DEADLINE: 21 FEB 2016*iWAPT****:* International Workshop on Automatic Performance Tuning ** Submission DEADLINE: 10 JAN 2016*CHIUW: *Chapel Implementers and Users Workshop ** Submission DEADLINE: 15 JAN 2016 *HPBDC: *High-Performance Big Data Computing ** Submission DEADLINE: 04 JAN 2016 *HPCMASPA****: *Monitoring and Analysis for High Performance Computing Systems Plus Applications ** Submission DEADLINE: 09 JAN 2016 *IPDRM****:* Emerging Parallel and Distributed Runtime Systems and Middleware ** Submission DEADLINE: 22 JAN 2016*ParSocial:* Parallel and Distributed Processing for Computational Social Systems Submission DEADLINE: 11 JAN 2016 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *IPDPS ROUNDTABLE WORKSHOPS – NEW IN 2016!* These condensed workshops, no more than ninety minutes, will be organized and animated by a few people and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday. The purpose is to provide a “roundtable” setting which promotes interaction and discussion focused on an emerging area of interest to IPDPS attendees, especially topics that complement and “round out” the areas covered by the regular workshops. /Proposals to conduct a Roundtable Workshop may be submitted after January 1, 2016/. *PhD FORUM - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS* The annual IPDPS PhD Forum event will continue with the traditional poster presentations by students working toward a PhD in broadly defined areas related to parallel and distributed processing. In addition, continuing the program initiated in 2014, there will be a broader, enhanced program to include several evening and lunch-time sessions to provide the student participants coaching in scientific writing and presentation skills and to give them an opportunity to hear from and interact with senior researchers attending the conference. To see what/when/where to submit, go to the Webpage at http://www.ipdps.org/ipdps2016/2016_phd_forum.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GENERAL CALL FOR PARTICIPATION ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IPDPS 2016 will be held in Chicago, the third largest metropolis in the USA.
