That would explain why in my system GCL takes 4 minutes to compile and 8 
minutes to recompile after I just change the date of one single file. 
Compared to 0.2 seconds that CCL takes to recompile, I've had given up 
working with GCL. I hope the changes I'm making will work with GCL too, 
but will not bother to check anymore.
