Hello Yes, in fact, MaximaTexMaths is TexMath + Maxima. My extension replaces TexMaths, retaining all of its features and capabilities while adding a section dedicated to Maxima. As a result, TexMaths by Roland Baudin must be uninstalled if it is already installed (avoiding conflicts), and MaximaTexMaths should be installed instead. The extension then appears in the list of extensions under Tools - Extensions. And adding that the user must not forget to set the path to Maxima in Configuration -> Path. The manual describes a how to use the extension in practical examples https://maxima-french-doc.fr/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/manuel-mtm-en.pdf Best regards Michel Le mer. 15 avr. 2026 à 18:41, Daniel Volinski via Maxima-discuss < [email protected]> a écrit : > Hi Michel, > > Thank you for working on this project. > > Should this extension be installed instead of Roland Baudin's TexMaths > or in addition to it?
