Re: Bug 4689 & deprecating limroot

I'm in favor of simply removing any internal function which is not
called from anywhere in src or share. Marking it deprecated by one
means or another is just delaying the inevitable while the code
remains cluttered with it -- better to just go ahead and clear it out
while it has your attention. I'm pretty sure I've done that more than
once myself.
