That’s a different issue from having maxima be able to read compressed 
info files for help.

I have no problem if someone wants to use quicklisp to provide that.

Of course, I do use that all the time as well. But I set it up to pop up 
the HTML docs instead. I do have to remember to start a web server 
before, but that’s my problem.

We have 135000 lines of lisp in src. 3000 isn’t that much more. I 
suspect no one is really going to look at the code.

I’m only concerned about the burden on developers on having to have 
extra stuff around to be able to do it on demand and the burden also of 
making sure it gets built into maxima.
