Maxima fails on Raspberry Pi (Debian Trixie)

On various flavors of raspberry pi (latest version Trixie), maxima (5.47) installs, but won't run:


 maxima --version
The assertion !madvise(m,p2,MADV_HUGEPAGE) on line 67 of o/msbrk.c in function msbrk failed: Invalid argumentAborted


(Wolfram Mathematica does run...  :-)
