2010 - Mizar Prize for Young Researchers

I have the pleasure to announce that the winner of the
"Mizar Prize for Young Researchers" in 2010
is Marco Riccardi from Italy, for his Mizar article
"The Definition of Topological Manifolds" (MML identifier: MFOLD_1).

This article makes it possible to fill a gap in the Mizar
Mathematical Library which has been under consideration as
an important topic for a long time. Namely the paper introduces
the definition of n-locally Euclidean topological spaces and
topological manifolds. We believe, that after including it into
MML, there is now an open path to formalize many ineresting results
in the domain of topological manifolds.

Value of Prize:  1.000 Euro.

The prize was founded in 2009 by Prof. Krystyna Kuperberg
(Auburn University).
