Significance of control_timestep magnitudes

Dear All, I have encountered strange (in my opinion) behaviour of Tochnog depending on the magnitude of the arguments to control_timestep. In my data file (in the attachment) I have a line: control_timestep 120 1.e-1 1.e-1 but if I change it to control_timestep 120 1.e-2 1.e-2 I got different results. What is more with control_timestep 120 1.e-3 1.e-3 the results are again different. (The results for the last two cases seems to be a rubbish of some sort). The data describe an elastic bar in tension so there should be no surprise. I would be very grateful if someone sheds some light on the issues before I start digging in the code what is going on.
