Any reason pistachio's code doesn't build with gcc 4 yet?  This has  
been a problem for > 1 year now I'm sure.

Is there anything to be done or just give up? ;-)

It's hard to convince people to try pistachio when you tell them they  
have to use an old and somewhat broken compiler.  (but with C++ they  
all seem to be broken anyway).
