Error loading kernel under QEMU

Hi,

After successfully compiling kernel and reading and following the instructions at http://l4ka.org/projects/pistachio/ia32/gettingstarted.php,
I tried to load it under QEMU, and got the error:

Error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable format.

Any ideas?
