Jan, thanks for the links. It's a very intersting course and I regret (a bit) that I didn't choose to study in Karlsruhe. ;-) Since my brother has taken the "right" choice I'll ask him to "wget" the SDI Wiki. However, not everyone has a brother studying in Karlsruhe and thus access to the Wiki. Don't you think it would be helpful to open it - at least in parts - to public? Best, Martin. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Jan Stoess [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Montag, 18. Martin, Our lecture/lab course system design and implementation http://i30www.ira.uka.de/teaching/courses/lecture.php?courseid=133 contains some material on how to write a driver on top of L4. On the webpage referenced above you'll find, amongst other stuff, lecture slides including a set on L4 device driver design, as well as and other material such as manuals for the serial port and legacy PIC. Maybe this helps you. We've also got some toy/student OSes for L4 referenced at l4ka.org that contain basic device driver support for keyboard, vga and the like.
