P2020 PowerPC Version

I have been trying to build a pistachio version for power pc recently,
specifically a p2020.

But I have ran into some issues and was wondering if someone could give me
some further information on this.

The first thing is that I could not build the kernel for powerpc in any
configuration with the newest gcc and binutils version. Since I thought that
was to be expected I set up a VM with FreeBSD 6.0 and the compatibility pack
for 5.0 and tried using the compiler binaries from
http://www.l4ka.org/tools/powerpc.php. Unfortunately that didn't work
either.

The second thing is that I am not quite sure wether even if I could build
the kernel it would run on a p2020 right away or wether I'd have to modify a
rather big portion of the source/config files.

I hope someone can give me some or even just any advice on this.
