Re: HBS WK: Who will win Microsoft or Linux?

I don't agree with the value given to the installed base.
How much were network effects worth for products like 1-2-3 or WordPerfect?
Microsoft is trying harder to re-invent itself in new markets (Xbox, PDA,
...) because it knows that W2K and Office markets are in real threat.
