Well, there are reported success cases of Free Software adoption in
the specialized media. There are recognition and people that
previously didn't know anything about Free Software now talking about
it.

Then, I don't know why microsoft's best customer and major Brazilian
banks are replacing MS Office for OpenOffice by the end of the year.
This is certainly not something best customers do. There is also some
pressure to create a new truly free software distro to fill the void
the Freedows fiasco left.

Yes, there have been some bumps in the road to free software adoption
(or maybe craters), add to this last year corruption charges of
important people in the government, slowing things down a lot. But
there are changes still in schedule and more should come depeding on
election results.
