The free software community really isn't all _that_ large, especially if your looking for innovation. Not merely trolling: they should be positively _scouring_. Tom, when you see something lacking technically, you create technology to fill the gap. This is a great thing, and allows you to "fix" things that are wrong. People are not machines under your control. The world, in fact, is not a machine under your control. This surprises you every couple of months when you don't have money for food or housing. You would be better served to find is a place where fixers are needed, wanted, and desired. Otherwise, you will be living in a world of frustration, as all those idiots out there keep doing the wrong thing -- can't they see how stupid they're being? Many people on this list have the "fixit" gene -- but almost all of the people on this list have a healthy dose of respect for the forces that are out of their control, and have found ways to co-exist with them. Just my $.02, Brian
